OCXO — Oven-Controlled Crystal Oscillator

Nanosecond-level clock synchronization for centimetric lap timing. At 200 km/h a car covers 1 cm every 180 microseconds. Standard oscillators drift 50µs/second — unacceptable. OCXO stability of ±1 ppb keeps anchor clocks synchronized to within 10 nanoseconds, enabling millimetric timing precision even between UWB sync events. Deployed in fixed beacons via IEEE 1588 PTP.
